Scheduling guide

How to Schedule a Prompt for a Claude Conversation

ClaudeBox prepares a prompt for an existing Claude chat and attempts to submit it at a time you choose. Here is how to set one up and what to check beforehand.

Before you schedule

You need the ClaudeBox Browser extension installed in Chrome, a Claude conversation you can open, and a prompt that is ready to send. Browser scheduling runs in your local browser context: keep Chrome available and the intended Claude session signed in at the scheduled time. A powered-off or sleeping computer cannot run the local extension.

Set up the extension

  1. Get the current Browser ZIP from the ClaudeBox Browser installation section.
  2. Extract the ZIP, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and choose Load unpacked.
  3. Select the extracted extension folder. Chrome will display the permissions; review them before accepting.
  4. Open an existing Claude chat in Chrome and open the extension.

Create a scheduled prompt

  1. Choose the Claude Browser target.
  2. Select the current chat or paste the URL of the intended conversation. Confirm that it is the right chat.
  3. Write the prompt you want Claude to receive. Keep it specific enough to make sense when it runs later.
  4. Choose a specific date and time, or use the refill workflow with a time you estimate. An optional delay and bounded retry settings can be configured.
  5. Review the task details and schedule it. Keep Chrome available around the scheduled time.

What happens when it is due?

The extension checks the destination and relevant page controls before acting. A visible usage limit, sign-in screen, unavailable page, or ambiguous composer can prevent a send. Retries are bounded and depend on whether the extension can establish that no send occurred. If it cannot tell whether a send happened, it marks the result uncertain instead of automatically risking a duplicate.

“Sent” means the prompt submission was verified in the intended conversation. It does not mean Claude generated a response or finished a larger task. Review Claude and the task status after execution.

Optional Cloudflare scheduler

Cloudflare mode stores task fields in the Worker/D1 resources you configure and can mark a task due while your computer is offline. It does not execute Claude tasks. The matching local extension still needs to come online, with Chrome and the target session available, to perform the Browser action. See the privacy page before sending task details to your Worker.
