How ClaudeBox schedules a prompt for a Claude conversation

ClaudeBox lets you prepare a prompt for an existing Claude chat and choose when the browser extension should attempt it. It is a scheduler and submission helper, not a way to bypass Claude limits or guarantee a completed answer.

What “auto-resume” means here

You select an existing Claude conversation, write the follow-up prompt, and set a date and time. For a usage-limit workflow, you may choose the refill option and enter the time you expect access to return. ClaudeBox uses your estimate and any delay you set; it does not inspect Claude’s account timer, predict a reset, or confirm that your quota has returned.

What happens at the scheduled time

For a local Browser task, Chrome and the Claude session must be available. The extension checks that it can identify the intended Claude chat and usable composer before attempting a submission. If the page is signed out, unavailable, still shows a limit, or cannot be safely identified, the task may be blocked, retried within its configured limits, or marked uncertain. If delivery may have happened but cannot be verified, ClaudeBox avoids automatically sending a duplicate.

A verified send means the prompt was submitted and observed in the target conversation. It does not mean Claude completed the requested work.

Set up a task

  1. Install the Browser ZIP using Chrome’s Developer mode and “Load unpacked” instructions on the Browser installation section.
  2. Open an existing Claude conversation and the ClaudeBox extension.
  3. Choose the Browser target, select the current conversation or provide its chat URL, and write the prompt.
  4. Choose a specific time or provide your own refill-time estimate, then review retry settings.
  5. Keep Chrome running, the computer awake, and Claude signed in at the scheduled time. Check the task status and the conversation if delivery is uncertain.

Local and optional Cloudflare scheduling

Local scheduling stores task data in the Chrome profile and requires that browser environment to become available. Optional Cloudflare mode stores task details in the Worker’s D1 database and can mark tasks due while your computer is offline. It does not execute the prompt: the matching local Chrome extension must still come online and submit it.

Desktop support is separate and experimental

ClaudeBox also has an optional Windows-specific helper for Claude Desktop. It relies on the controls exposed by Windows UI Automation and requires separate setup; it is experimental. See Windows Desktop setup and troubleshooting.
